Synopsis

Disc 1. Volume One

1 x 66:00 min

In volume one of Rugby's Greatest Ever Matches, John Inverdale looks back on some of the all time classics from the Lions Tour of 1971 and 1974 against New Zealand and South Africa respectively through to England's Grand Slam winning defeat of France at Twickenham in 1991. In between we feature the brilliant Barbarians of 1973, the incredible Lions victory of 1989 and David Campese's lapse on his own try line, and Grand Slams for a Gareth Edward's and Barry John inspired Wales in 1971 and David Sole's Scotland in 1990.

Disc 2. Volume Two

1 x 85:00 min

In volume two, John Inverdale looks back at the last ten years of international rugby and a host of spectacular games. The Rugby World Cup plays a significant part in this volume. Rob Andrew's heroics with the drop goal against Australia in '95 being eclipsed by his protege Jonny Wilkinson's effort against them in the 2003 final. Both will linger long in the memory. Southern Hemisphere rugby also features strongly with four epic encounters from the Tri Nations series including some last gasp heroics that would have had Scott Gibbs applauding. His amazing try to beat England at Wembley in 1999 was a major Five Nations shock, as was Ireland's 2004 defeat of the same opposition at Twickenham
